yeah i think they look alright, alot of people say they do bugger all and cause more turbilance in the engine bay which causes the cooling system not to work properly or somethin :? iv found they work pretty well! staying alot cooler now :)

nope mine is solid :? no movement in it attal! but the way i have done mine is i have used 2 box sections on each hinge and put them either side of the bolts so its a more sterdy and bigger suraface for the bonnet to sit on ;) also ment no drilling the box sections lol you can kinda see how i have done it in the close up pic i have.

whet and cleaned my roof lineinging today, so started taking it out but gave up as its a pain in the arse so cleaned it while it was in the car :lol: but just underneath it rothly where the sunvisers sit there was the build docs 8-) been wanting to find these for ages! quite a nice little thing to have tbh.

yeah i found mine there...quite a common place for em to be...there was also a another sheet on top of the fuel tank..faded and grotty..but still ledgible as a build sheet 8-)

well took a trip to the scrappy today and came home with a mint spoiler and a mk4 ghia interia light with alarm sensor and spots :chill:

the light was a nightmare to fit, involved alot of cutting to the inner roof and the roof lineing but it was well worth it in the end :halo:

Think its just a case of trimming the headlining for it to fit, and some of the metal above it, plug it in.. glue it up, job done 8-)

I'm going to get one for my pickup after I fit the new bit of headlining in to replace my crappy looking retrimmed one :rolleyes:

mikey: cheers, another sussex lad :thumbsup: from what i remeber the car was in need of a good clean that day :lol: but thanks, yeah shes my baby very proud of her :lol:
the light is as paul says, you have to cut the headlining and the metal under the headlining, cut the 2 point plug on the brown wires so there seperate as the mk3 light has the 2 connectors inline but the mk 4 as 1 going vertical and one going horisontal lol then plug the wires in and it will work ;) then if u have cut the metal correct under the headlineing it clips into place, no glueing needed :chill: ill make a guide for it tomorrow when im bored!


phil: cheers :) very nearly got some headrests to try the trick with the rear headrest conversion but ill do that another day! there were 2 police cars int here, i didnt spot the other one untill i went back there the next day! both focus estates, also a 57plate fiesta in there roof compleatly caved in :shock:
