Drives: Fiesta 1.6 16v Si
So first things first hello everyone :-)

Secondly

My vdub died on me so i finally got a chance to get a car from my personal fav manufacture "Ford" did not have a big budget but i found myself a 1994 Fiesta 1.6 Si 16v for £300 went to view the car and as all old ford the sills and wheel arches are going but not a prob im buying a mig welder and learning to weld. thought the engine was sound gave it a test drive round the estate the garage was in and it seemed fine.... Runs smooth no clonks or odd noises so i went for it.

On the way home i hit a dual carriage way and decided to see what it could do... every gear 1st/2nd/3rd/4th and im guessing 5th the car just suddenly stops pulling at 4000 revs. it picks up pretty nice as soon as it gets to 4k. it just stops its like its been restricted to 4000 revs.

I pulled over and took it out of gear when out of gear the revs don't cut at 4000 it will go all the way to redline at 7000 its got me baffled im thinking maybe limp home mode is on? or something like that cause other than the revs cutting off at 4000 the engine runs sweet as a nut.

Have also noticed when you first start up the rev counter don't work until the engine has been running for about 2 mins then it pops into life...

Also the passengers side window don't work but i haven't had a look at that yet its probably something simple.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
