8-) , the assistance was greatly accepted as i have know one that had done the conversion before, so you were a great help and so were a few other members who answered my dim witted questions  :look:

i know now enough about my car to do things myself, which i never had the confidence to do before, i have learnt things that i never even knew before i started this conversion

and my friend and i were complimented, someone said that they wouldn't have taken on the conversion. i know to some the conversion was a piece of piss, but i had never worked on a fiesta before and nor had my friend, so as someone else down the workshop put it "its like the blind leading the blind" , which it was, but i never looked at the guide once, i had it printed out just in case, but as i had read it so many time i knew what to do

i was exactly the same. i'd never really done any serious work on my/any car. just read a lot of theory. now is a different matter, lol.

it is worth the money. Ford should've done it from the factory. but at the time the Si was released. joy riding was more than a hobby for some little scallies

it's just like a normal engine replacement really.
it's not like the engine is a totally different type, ie, YB
just take the 1.6 out, bolt all the bits off the 1.6 on 2.0, away you go

to answer my own question, the 2.0 conversion wasn't as hard as i thought i was going to be, at the time of asking that question, i knew nothing about cars. i still no nothing about cars  even after doin the conversion   , no i am joking i am not a qualified mechanic and neither is my friend, there is a mechanic at out workshop tho just in case :look:

but as i said i am more confident to do things on my car now, just need about of confidence building to work on my brakes tho :look:
