i should be undertaking this conversion soon.. have managed to source everything i need to do it for £150

(engine will be being re-built (new shells, rings,valve seals gaskets etc etc))

just wondering as the person im gettign this off is including the mondeo gearbox with it.. does the mondy gearbox fit the fiesta?

well not the fluids seals etc

but im gettin engine,box,ecu,maf etc etc for £150

all the other stuff im gonna buy before it goes in.. eg new water pump/oil pump/seals/plugs/leads etc etc

Thats not a bad price, but still not the £32 i payed! :D

it should be another £150 for the seals etc! so £300 for an extra 40ish bhp not bad! :)

I'm running the diesel gearbox in mine just now, seems not too bad and you do get stupid speeds out each gear, think just under 120 in 3rd, still to try top end but too many cops about here plus pretty daft as i like having a licence.

As for improving the mpg, i dunno, i'm getting pretty poor mpg just now but i am driving it like a loon :devil:

Anyone else running a diesel box?

with my 1.6 Si box i am getting 190+ MPG but i am not being very kind to the throttle :lol:

i would also like to know who else is using a diesel box and what MGP your getting :?

well £37 worth of fuel and i got over 230+ miles, if i was to drive more sensibly i would most properly get a little more :look:

i've had a gps verified 137mph out of mine. that was with escort 1.8 zetec g'box fitted. speedo was off clock
I've done it once. wont even attempt to go that quick anymore. just curious as to what it would've done.

Nah, not yet, had 120 outta 3rd then ran out of road. Weather here is pretty ding just now with all the rain, as soon as it dries up though..... :insanity:
