as you may have realized the si brakes are crap.

you will need a brake upgrade
you could fit cossie brakes(bit of fiddling about with spacers and drilling holes)
or mondeo v6 ones(more fiddling about with spacers and drilling holes)

but the ST ones go straight on and lets face it cossies and mondies are knocking on a bit now and its more than likely the calipers will be shot to buggery.

so heres how to fit mk6 fiesta ST150 discs and calipers to your car.

firstly remove the wheel(remembering to undo the bolts before jacking up the car   )

whip off the old calipers and discs, its a case of 2 13mm bolts
(a monkey could do it!)
Image

then go grab your mahoosive ST calipers and discs, and mount them on the hub, they will bolt stright up with the SI caliper bolts(the ST ones are too long)
fit braided brake line while your there perhaps.
bleed it all out
and bobs you mothers second cousin twice removed
Image

refit wheel and repeat for other side and go for a gentle drive to knock the rust off the discs and perhaps bed in new pads if you got them, you might also have to remove wheel weights on the inside of your rims to clear the calipers(i have escort gti wheels on mine and i had no issues with my wheel weights)

sexy time 8-)

i picked mine up for £120 with only 4k wear on. Best place to look is the STOC for people upgrading to 300mm ;)

Good guide looks like a fairly simple job, got me thinking about getting some!

What size wheels do you need, don't suppose they'll fit under my rs 14's will they??

I can confirm this guide also applies to the RS2000 260m setup. ;) Everything just swapped over and bolted up, couldn't be simpler.

Useful if your wheels have less clearance.

Should fit no problem, can't imagine why ford would change something like brake mountings, it'd simply mean they'd need to carry a wider range of replacement parts.

That would depend on you wheels i think, and clearance of the caliper.

as far as i know dan never did that, you might be able to space the wheel away from the caliper using a spacer plate, would that not be easier?

Might just have jump in the deep end and buy a set, and trial fit them, if there's no way they'll go on it's either a wheel change or sell them on, don't imagine you'd lose much if anything selling them on.
