Had Eagle F1s, now I have Excellences' and they feel the same to me. No understeer and grip well, I can easily give it full throttle in 1st in the wet.

Bump!

No need to start a new thread when one's here.

As some people know F1's are being discontinued so snap them up now.

However I'm unsure on which tyres to get as my mot is up in a month or two and i have none performance tyres on the front and wearing eagle NCT5's on the back, and one has had a nail in it for a month or two now.

Scott bums the Pirelli P Zero Nero's, and the Proxies are quite tempting. Though I've heard good thinks about Michelin Pilot Exalto's and Bridgestone Potenza S0-2 pole position albeit that they are expensive. But I don't care about price as long as it's not more than £70 a corner fitted and balanced.

Anyone?

It may just be a rumour, but as far as I've heard on various websites they are :(

http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... b0s99p1667

Toyo proxes for £31 each delivered in 195/50/15 which isn't a bad price at all! £124 for 4!?

Yup one of our guys has been on to Goodyear about it.

Nicked from Abs forum:

Have been ringing around today as need a couple of rears for the LO, Ended up chatting to a dealer who had spoke to Goodyear (today) and said they were in the process of putting the Eagle F1 (265/40/17)back into production. He said to ring him at end of month to see if available yet, anyone heard about this??

The Goodyear Ascemetrics were brought out to replace the F1 GSD3's . When I bought mine you still couldn't get the GSD3's in LC rear tyre size so still had to use GSD2's so would be interesting to see if they start to re-do the old F1's and if so what type

I liked my old Pirreli P-Zero Rossi's. Cost £120 a corner from a cheap warehouse, with a trade card though

I had the exaltos on my Si, cracking tyre, did a bit of everything and loved warm days, also outlasted the car 8-)

When I bought my Saxo it had cheap tyres all round, swapping them for the eagle f1's transformed the car.

Ive just bought the Marganomi Zeta Linea's but havent had a chance to use the wheels yet. Will update when i know.

Other than that i dont usually buy a set of tyres unless the cost me near or over £200 as i like expensive rubber. Very partial to a bit of GSD3 Eagle F1 and always have been. Buying the Marganomi's was a big change from the norm to test what they are like for many of my mates that want to know. Plus the tread patten is certainly different and sexy :insanity:
