not worth it - 1.6 has small valves (22mm)

caterhams have highly tuned 1.6 zetecs with throttle bodies reaching 150bhp. which is not bad for the 1.6 but no doubt seriously tuned i.e block ripped apart etc lol

The all aluminium 1.6 sigma engine is a bit of a different beast to the old 1.6 zetec one, possible to get 200 bhp+ out of a sigma

Basicly im a few parts short for the 2l conversion (still need new hoses, clutchand lsd gearbox ) i have the throttle bodies inlet manifold already so i was just playing with the idea of fitting the to the 1.6 as a stop gap surley there would be some power gains from the throttle bodies? Im trying to hold off swaping the engine till ive sorted the car out properly ie poly bush the front arms n rear beam fitted some coil overs :O)~ thanks guys

You wont see huge amount of power gains. But the acceleration and respone will increase. It'll also sound nice too.
