Wouldn't you have a problem with an airtight seal though? Cause the pipes are round...
Or can you get oval pipes i'm not sure lol

the k&n pipe sucks itself shut because the filter is too small

ive got the k&n banana pipe on my si and after hear about your rolling road session dan think I can remember driving my si when cold it went really well but when it cold hot something wasnt making it as reasponsive i must be having the same problem, there are 2 types of k&n banana pipes tho for the si, ones really tough ( really early 57i kit) & the other the flexible one that you and I had/have the 5 door si I broke had the tougher pipe I reacon
it was better way tell visually tell is theres.no k&n stamping on the pipe
