Do the actual motor part themselves that you remove off the winding gear by torx bits fit directly to the winding gear off a mk3 electric window set, or do I have to swap the lot over? A smaller item at my local scrappy tends to be cheaper no matter the weight, so the less I have to show the better!

Also, does the mk5 locks and central locking motor blocks fit a mk3? I would like the clunk sound over the whirring to death sound, and if it's possible to change the interior door pull over I would be ecstatic!

Also, is it any mid 90s escort electric windows that can fit the fiesta baseplate?

I swear the mk5 locks are the same as mk3, they still make the whirry noise. It just sounds tinnier in mk5's because of the shape of the doors and the plastic door cards amplifying the noise

Hmmm, interesting. My gf had a mk4 with original locks etc that clunked instead of whirred. Might have to rig something up to check when I'm in the scrappy.

Bit more on the mirrors, are electric mirrors heated no matter the car they came off?
