Alot of people just stick with the standard clutch as its the same as the rs turbo one and thats good for 130bhp which is only 6bhp short of a silver top 2.0

I know so the standard clutch should do but if you want piece of mind then people usually get a black diamond clutch.

the pressure plate and bearings are the same the actual friction plate of the rs1800 has heavy duty springs compared to the rs turbo

I would be suprised if you get the full 136bhp.

My old 2.0 as runnign closer to 145bhp (we think) and it was on a black diamond clutch with no issues.

the standard zetec clutch is fine for upto about 150bhp so you should get any issue swith it, after 150 it will start slipping when you floor it

engine braking wouldnt have an effect as the engine power/torque is not whats going to cause slip, its matching the engine speed tot he road wheel speed :P
