:nerd: I think the standard inlet on the Clio is louder than any open cone kit I've ever heard. Ear piercing at the RR day. 8-)

Mine's pretty loud aswell with the quad throttle bodies and Mine's K&N, but you can't hear it as well because of the exhaust

Nothing like civilized transport eh, Des? 8-) I like peoples faces when they hear something noisy coming as they assume it's doing 125mph and give you a glare of disgust. :lolz:

Scott, you've hit the nail right on the head!

I get all the oldies giving me dirty looks as I pootle along at 25mph up my road, yet they don't bat an eyelid when some knobber in an Astra van flies up at about 50

On numerous occasions when I had the window down I slow down and shout "What??!!??!" at them

just whacked a K+N cone on the ST ith a cold air feed, and its much more responsive and returns a decent noise :halo:

and due to the exhaust being on the back of the engine and the inlet the front the air is quite cool

why not just buy a performance panel filter, and drill the airbox? gave me a much better, 'more powerful' sound, and seems to respond better.

i have a panel filter but i have "modified" the air box on the cold side! ;)

Pics up in members soon but all i have done is grind out a section of the box on the cold side, which will soonbe accompanied by a feed!

Loud and sounds great, with no heatsoak issues of a cone! :)

Good guide!

Good idea!

:)

can u post pics of the air feed like where the air comes from did you do it from the fog light?

I've decided that whether you gain or lose 5% of your power moving to an open air filter, it's worth it purely for the noise.

it sounds the SEX in vtec!

£10.5o delivered from eBay, job done! bish bash bosh.

Agreed. I don't even need an exhaust for my ZS because the K&N Barps so loud! and sounds amazing! you wouldn't believe it

think i'll be going for a panel k&n and get on the drilling. do you drill the holes nearest the edge of the engine bay?
