Post subject:  Quick question - Car insurance excess

As your prob saw in Random, my mates dad reversed into my car and its prob gonna be going through insurance. Im only TPFT, with an excess off £250, and claiming for something not my fault, will i have to pay the excess?

He will be admitting liability though...

Bit confused on how it works etc.

if he is admitting liability then tell your insurance company and they will claim from his insurance....

you are not claiming from yours, so there should be no reason for you to use your excess

i think thats right

Thats right,

Also if you've got all the details, most decent insurance companies will be able to sort you out with a hire car for the duration of the repairs aswell and will claim the costs back off the 3rd party.

im going through a claim at the mo, the guy is saying it is my fault and his company is clain on me for the repair on the car and his excess!!!! so i would say that u will not have to pay anything. u would only have to if your insurance was paying to do any work.

just to add im not in the wrong on my one and im not paying FA!!!
