I'm 20 with 2ncb, I'm in my 3rd year of driving,

But to be honest I will probably do it later in the year, or just get an engine all ready for January when I renew the policy.

I should really finish the bodywork first, just spent 4 hours sanding the rear arches and light panels down and primering again, still not perfect yet but I'm learning haha.

I don't see other people posting, telling people to do illegal things!

Quite a few people will do, in a jokingly manner say something along those lines. Anyways,

£500 extra isnt too much really considering the pwoer hike. Just depoends on the insurance company you are with ect. when you renew go with a conmapny that is cool about modifications, makes life easier!

Yeah, I'm already with Adrian Flux.

But anyways, gonna leave bodywork as the main priority right now, as it looks shockingly sh*t

Just been in contact with a mate who will hopefully spray parts of my car up.. wing, rear bumper, rear panels under the lights, rear panel above the rear arch and the xr kit (rolls eyes)

I should really get the whole thing sprayed, but I don't wanna waste the money hah

id say £500 would be prob about right

being a bit of an old bstard meself i do wonder sometimes how young drivers afford to run modified cars these days and i bet there are a fair few who dont declare everything ( would be there own loss )
everything these days just costs so much. my 1st car cost me £150 fpft to insure and that had alloys and a zorst as mods, i was 18, try to beat now
i really feel sorry for young drivers these days cos some quotes are stupidly high. the missus's bruvs payed over £1k to insure a 1.3 Metro worth £300, madness !!

Yeah I have to say I agree with you there mate, total rip off to insure cars..

That £500 is fair enough, I might still do it once I get myself into a better job, bodywork first, shame mine doesnt look like yours! lol

if your quotin on the phone then be a complete brown nose to the underwriter on the phone because apparently the person on the other end of your phone can adjust the premium as much as they like. so if youre a complete moody ignorant piece of shit then theyll make it high to pee u off.....so mayby if your nice, theyll lower it a bit.
