with most insurers it doesn't cost much more for the 2.0 than the 1.6 as most of them class it as going up one insurance group.

I paid £1400 at 20 with 1 year NCB. but I am in a very high risk area and have to pay way over the odds

i have had my Si insured as a 2.0 since march( but i only did the conversion in september, it was planned for march)

i am 21 with nearly 2 years driving experience and 1 NCB and i pay £1053/£1078( can't remember which) thats with all my mods declared. i am with adrian flux give them a try, but i dont know what the minimum age is with them i think its 19 or it could be 21

best person to ask would be matt(mattyboy), if i remember he is 19 and has a 2.0 Si, hopefully he will see this thread

hope that helps 8-)

I pay about 1k as i pay monthly for it. I have all mods declared and 3k audio cover. LIve in a low crime rate area and have 4 years no claims and 0 points or accidents. I am also paying extra for protected no claims. IM with redline insurance, and were the best for me. You wont get insurance with them though, as they wont even put my 19 yr old gf on the insurance (yay!)

Lancaster, i am 28 though.

Banned for a year for a DR10, 1mg over limit after 3 btles of Bud and i had a years ban for 128mph in a 70 zone

Thats with all the mods declared also, plus the area i stay is not in the best aberdeen category for having a car, ie, everything needs nailed down or some junkie fecker will be off with it :x

Kirk Sandall ;), according to insurance companys its a low risk area! Although its going down hill because of all the chav's , theres not much car crime in Kirk Sandall, so low risk! :D
