jeezus!

just had my renewal quote for the car from norwich union:

£786 fullly comp with 3yrs ncb and clean license!

not having that, got chatting to the neighbour, he has his nissan bluebird turbo (yikes) insured by "firebond" on classic car insurance for £460 rang them up:

normal: £1100
special hot hatch: £750
classic: £3200

thats with £400 excess!

guy on the phone said its because the '2i is a group 15, same as some impreza's and what not, you definatly dont get the performance for the group rating though! :oooh:

went to directline:

£456 with 150 excess. 8-)

landed.

I got my renewal from Elephant and they said it would be around £1200 for my group 13 GTi, F/C, 3yrs driving, 1yrs NCB and a clean licence  They having a laugh.

I got a quote from Admiral (the same company no-less!) for about £900, but £650 ish when I hit 21. So do I wait two months until I hit 21? Can I do without a car for that long. No. Bastards.

I insured my Si last week with more than for £254 third party with ncb protection. Thats with me being 21 and 4 years ncb. Norwich union wanted about £200 more, they were shocking this year.

yes, but it is illigal for them to only use women......i bet if you phone up they will insure a man, BUT it will most likely be stupidly high so that they dont have to insure a man

tesco are awful, someone drove head on into my mates punto, he lost his no claims even though they admitted the fault, it took best part of 6 months to get them back!

plus he had hidden excess that wasnt on his documents, mind you they are cheap!

I find Frizzell cheap for car insurance

http://www.frizzell.co.uk

£1700 fully comp on 1.6 Si... 17 year old new driver without any no claims :)

Lowest price I could find anywhere else was £2600 from Direct Line

Its only expensive because of all these f*cking chavs trying to show off by driving around like complete tw*ts... then end up crashing into things !

just gettng my si an insurance quote is a mission, as only 2 or 3 companys will touch my si and they want around £3000! all mods declared, all the other companys say, we can't quote u cause your cars just too low (60mm drop)???? so i'm just gonna have to stay in my dads name but i'm not getting ne of the all important no claims! :(

Dont work trust me.

When you send you ncb in to you company and they check it they will not accpet it as its not ture NCB same as 10m.

Not worth the money m8.

thats what im doing because i crashed in my first year of driving an now im stuffed so i gotta now go onto my dads.. and the 'you get no claims if ur a named driver' isnt actualy what i means you get somthing called drivers no claims which means if next year you get a quote with direct line they will count it as 1 years no claims on your own.. but to everyone else you wont have any no claims to your name.

so im goin on my dads for a year then getting insurance next year on my own with direct line so they take the named driver no claims into account so it should be cheaper than most other places.. then after a year of that ill have 1 years no claims.. and by then the 'Have you made a claim in the last 3 years' will be able to be answerd no and ill have 1 yrs no claims :p

seems complicated but oh well

Im insured with Adrian Flux, 1 years NCB, Been driving 14 Months now and my insurance is £950. By far the cheapest I could find and I tried absolutely everywhere, I think living in Merseyside goes against me even though its not too bad where I live :(

Adrian Flux suggested arond £1500-2000
HIC couldn't quote me on it until I was 22
