My girlfriend has her policy on my car and she is actually getting charged more than me. She's been driving 5 years no convictions/accidents etc. I've been driving just over 1. It turns out she is paying more because Egg use a 1 to 100 group rating system. This makes my 1.6 SI a group 40 car according to them, along with the fact they also act like it's left open with the keys in on how easy it is to steal (ever heard of pats? Stops the chavs with screwdrivers).

So instead of a group 8 (20)/17 (50), a 1.6 90hp instead of a 1.25 75hp, she is paying £65pm instead of the £60pm on the 1.25! We also live in a good area for the postcode risk. I pay £60pm!

My insurance went up £100 and was still the cheapest, in someways I am lucky as I am in the worse area for insurance so when I move it can't get any worse.
