On your insurance policy what do you value your car at? :)

Just wondered what i should value mine at :?

Please state if its a 1.6 or 2.0 :thumbsup:

I state mine at £1500 purley because it means quite a lot to me :gheeyyy:

Although I had it valued at work and the system said they CAP clean at £350 :iagree:

On the quote just put a low value in as it makes no difference in the event of a claim but can raise your premium.

Agreed valuation on the other hand is worth trying to get more.

My premium was the same whether i put £2000 or £200 ( i tried..)

I would guess most don't, the usual ones who look after modded cars are more likely too.

If anything its about proving its worth more than a bog standard one to the insurance.

ahhh ok, so they might not do it on a bog standard one? im hoping to buy a 306 gti6, but want a clean un modified one so i can make it how i want it.

Mines valued at 4000. Will go up though when Turbo is installed. Probably 5.5k.

Just value it slightly higher than what you'd want if it was written off. Valuation doesn't make any difference to me really unless we're talking thousands, as in the event of a claim they will give you a bogus value anyway.
