Hi all,

Have been looking at getting another Si again, and thought I'd better check insurance prices first...oh dear...

I'm 19, 2years ncb, live in a low-risk postcode area, but for a 1.6 Si they're asking over £900 in most cases...wtf! The car I got rid of 3 months ago (2007 Fiesta 1.4 Zetec) cost less than that, and I've got another years ncb!

Does this sound about right for someone my age with that much ncb, or am I being shafted? Quoting on a standard 1.6 3dr si, have tried adding the gf onto the policy and it dropped it by 200 quid but other than that its looking a bit shit really and probably gonna stop be getting one for a good while yet!

So many factors effect it and different companys have different ideas.

Try getting quotes from a few places on confused or something.

As an example my C2 is a lower insurance group than the Si, its a lot quicker but its also a lot harder to steal and safer (stability control).
