That engine looks pretty clean compared to mine, it's a pain trying to get all the oil stains off mine even with engine detailer and degreaser.
Wish I had leccy windows

Righteo, first off car looks mint, nice clean example.

For the arches: if you have to ask if you can do it, then I wouldnt recommend you try, put simply :)

And the same with the engine. If you want somebody to do it, then MmoGenius on FT is one of the best, as is XFactor. I know roughly the price of the conversion will be ?575, including the engine. But depending on your car (ie if there are parts that need replacing depending on the state of them), it could go up to ?700-ish. Doubtful though.

But it will be the best money you can spend on an Si :)

Doesnt include brakes :P Jeeez whaddya want :P

It is the price for the engine, the conversion, and making sure it's running right :)

Times you will be looking at are low 8's high 7's, although can be less. It's just a great mod to do.

As for insurance, the 1.6 Si is group 8. The 2litre Mondeo engine, taken from...a Mondeo, is group 9. Not much of a price increase

wouldnt it be more though because its a fiesta with a 2.0 and not a Mondeo?

May actually be group 11, my bad.

But there's insurance people who will class it as group 11, because that's what the engine was removed from.

Either way, it doesnt go up much with the right insurance people
