100% serious, now saving for a pulsar GTi-R

got lent a 300bhp one at the weekend just gone. yes lent for the day no owner sitting beside you and told to have fun.

well i want one. makes the rst look tame

the combo of well built, 4wd, turbo charged and high capacity is mental

and 4wd drifting is insane, roundabouts become way more fun as does straightline etc.

all togheter more fun than my fiesta

gay

why be tempted with the schwanky pulsar when you can have boxer burble. far better far, classic shapes going for very little money, soon as i leave uni ill be having one.

Image

nissan - jumped up homologation special sunny  with a 2L engine and 4x4. iv never seen Toms on the road for very long and is riddled with problems. group 20 insurance, imported, rough as fook. look crap and always do. sound naff with their poncy inline 4 cylinder engine.

subaru - race bred car that grew from rallying. simple as. its not a special, the car was built for rallying and as such has all the specifications of the rally car not having to adhere to red tape shite. 2L 4x4, more about so its a 2nd hand buyers market. great spec, 97-00 series looks the knackers and the sound. the fooking sound.

dont be a homo, make the right choice :D

as opposed to the sunny which was built exactly the same way to rally, the pulsar is exactly the same as that but a jap import.

cheaper to tune, far more fun to drive than a scooby, i know i have driven both very hard, about the same amount of fun as my mates evo8.

You can make any engine burble like a boxer engine a simple case of unevn headers on 1-4 and 2-3 would dothat.

newer scooby's look shite.

they lost their hard edge when they started making round bits on headlights and poncifying the bonnet scoop

tuning the pulsar is cheaper and it puts the power down using the exact same running gear as a skyline r32 which with a clutch and box upgrade is capable of putting over 600 bhp to the road

also car is lighter giving it a far better power to weight ratio.

they pulsar raced in several raliies along side the subaru's and both wer equally matched they both have the same attributes other than the pulsar is far more fun.

Sports Jap cars are the best thing ever imo, theres an endless list of cars i'd love to own and the majority of them are Japanese (and Turbo'd) and the Pulsar is pretty high up that list!

I'd rather have a Porka 993 if I was going to have boxer burble from an engine 8-)

Not sure on your choice though Tony - I reckon the FRST will appeal to you again after a bit more work

I'll have to take you out in the Turbo some time soon mate - it's an experience now!

Cheers,

Andy

went out today on a time wasting mission for people selling high power 4wd turbo's

had a play in a 320 bhp scooby and a 370bhp one
a 360 bhp evo 6
a 400 bhp skyline
another pulsar 340 bhp this time
an escy cos 410 bhp

all of em are mentally fun. its the 4wd that i love and the higher capacity engines

all great fun. now really stuck.

i do love the sound of the flat 4 though

There is a Mazda 323 Turbo on the bay at the moment, 4wd Turbo Hatchback, kinda like the Mazda verson of the Pulsar!
