 Post subject: taking rocker cover off.

is it alot of hastle to take the rocker cover off. do you have to replace all new gaskets.

Cam cover zetec :wink:

Not hassle no, but you do need to replace the gasket. Cost: ?10.66 from Ford :D (I bought one yesterday :lol: )

what paint did you paint your cam cover with. Was it some kind of high temperture paint

Its a metal paint from a brand called "plasti-Kote" or something. Its good for up to 230 degrees :)

The silver didnt like the laquer though, and has gone kinda grey/silver - not shiney anymore :(

Gonna have another go with my original cam cover which will be coming off for this sprayed up one though :)

i'd only buy gen motorcraft with stuff like gaskets and cam belts :)

not worth the effort otherwise. its not a big task at all, 10 bolts i think on the top. move the accelerator cable bracket and it's off. :D
