Just thought id start a new post to find out whos owned a fiesta si the longest. Has it been the same one over the years or different ones etc... and how much did you pay for it. Technically speaking the longest anayone could have owned a Si for would be 11 years assuming that it was bought on a L plate from new back in 1994.

I'll start off.
I bought a N reg Fiesta Si 1.6 on the 8th September 1997 (which means ive had it for 7.5 Years) and payed ?7,500 for it. Still have it to this very day.................so come on then what about you lot ?

i know, ?7500 seems like alot compared to what it cost to get one today, but thats the same for all cars, think about some old Jags when they were new, about ?40,000 jag you can pick now for about ?1500 !

I've had my 1.6si since Feb 2004. I paid ?1,400 4 it, but I did manage 2 get off ?100 off the price even tho I did haggle down 2 ?1,300 but he wouldn't take that so I settled 4 ?1,400. I'm the 6th owner 2 have that car, but mind u I've had alot of repairs done 2 it as the previous 5 owners haven't looked after it that well, even tho its got service history etc... but from the stuff I got @ the time not many receipts etc... 4 replacing various parts.

Btween May 2004 & Aug 2004 I woz getting a hesitating problem from it & I changed my HT leads but still the same problem so the next thing woz my spark plugs. I woz soooo :o coz after my mechanic changed them 4 me he told me that they were the "original" spark plugs in there, I mean @ the time my car had done over 88,000 miles in total still with the "original" spark plugs, I couldn't believe it.

My car is now fine & running fine as I'm keeping it in order & looking after it etc... I've only had 1 puncture (*touches wood*). 1 major accident, 1 minor accident & 1 near miss. I'm getting some bits done 2 it @ the mo, pics will b up as soon as I get some after its back :).

8-)

I got mine last year in May when I had just passed my test, I got it for ?1400 with 56,000 miles on it, but got a new windscreen fitted for free and a free pre 60,000 mile service too and a full tank of petrol thrown in too.

So I didnt do too bad in the end..

Mine was ?2000 in april 2004, which is a bargain, considering 70,000 miles, the colour i want: ash black, 3 door and...

MINT

i.e: no rust, no dents, mint!

got my 16v last year, think it was April or May for ?950. Had 3 previous owners (2 women), which could be a reason for the engine dying (not implying women dont look after their cars  ). Its going strong on 105,000 miles after a re-con engine and i cant wait to get the project finished for summer!! :D 8-)
