Long story short my front brakes broke so I had to get the pads and discs replaced but.. The garage also replaced all 4 brake hoses rear shoes and replaced all brake fluid without informing me so in result charged me around £577 all together for most work that I hadn't asked for as the parts cost around 200 it seems very extortionate for work that I didn't even ask for

1 question is this legal?...

No, must ask if you want to carry out the work first

Fucking rip off tossers! That's so out of order. Take them to the cleaners.

This is why I hate taking cars to garages, just out to rip people off a lot of the time.

Well I had to pay for it as I have to drive 60 miles a day to work and just my luck 2 days later the clutch has gone lol

Spoke to trading standards wrote a letter to the garage as they advised and waiting for reply

And lol no it wasn't quick fit it was a small villiage garage

Escort cosworth lol and yeh for parts on front pads and discs and labour would have been 200-300 it was the fact they changed everything else why the labour was so high and bled all the brakes and put new brake fluid even though mine was fine
