I'm sure most of you know of Luke aka 'Luca' or have seen his car around called 'The Trolley'

He today set the new FWD top speed record at 183.99mph... f**king impressive if you ask me. Whats even more impressive is it was in wet conditions!

Heres a quote from Luke on passionshit.

Luca wrote:
Thanks for the support everyone and Hev for posting.

Conditions were rubbish today. I ran about an hour into the morning and the rain wasn't helping much for traction.
Normally I have full grip in 3rd around 72mph

150MPH today and the car was still wheel spinning on the limiter in 5th, into 6th and then we had grip.

180+ within 1.2miles in the wet was interesting trying to stop -

I was going to run again on the 30-130 to get my time lower as it started to dry out before lunch, then before I could get back out it rained again. Happy with the result I called it a day about 2 rather than risk anything.

Gearing wise the car is geared for 186.22 @7500rpm.
Im fairly confident it can squeeze a little more mph out of it especially in the dry within that distance, I was only running on 15" wheels.

BIG THANKS to JKM for there help with setting the car up,car was a dream!

Yes I DROVE it too

He did it in the wet... now thats even more impressive! That car is a mental machine!

Amazing if you ask me!

Yeah, its refered to as that by many, purely because over the years the forum has gone completely downhill and is full of constant arguments and bellends... basically there are lots jonys on there lol.

I only go on there every now and then to check out a few project threads and for sale section... other than that its wank these days lol

Wow, impressive in the wet!

Wonder what could be done with a dry day, longer ratios and a longer run.

Not really into high top speeds, lap times impress me the most but you have to respect it. And in a Mk3 Fiesta of all things!

Luke's car is a track car, thats what its been designed for, it just has a nice 471bhp to push it to high speeds too :D

Any videos of it on track from the cars POV? Would love to see how capable it is :D

Probably still not as fast as me, I have something he doesn't have. Namely loads of tiny Japanese men running around inside my engine block screaming "vteccc yoooo" when I push the loud pedal. :chill:

Sounds sweet :) When it gets decent traction in the higher gears it pulls very hard! Epic Fiesta.

What is it with trying these fast FWD cars in bloody wet conditions.

Someone on the forum ran his Honda Del Sol in the wet the other day, only managed 181mph

"Had just got to 7000 rpm in 5th. At 8500 it would have been doing 218 so gearing was ok but the gap between 4th and 5th was huge. Really needed to be able to rev out 4th which I couldn't due to spin to make it work. "

There needs to be a fastest FWD comp sometime over the summer on a DRY day.

That's right :) I think this Fiesta surpasses Sunny's Mk3.

It does indeed! Sunny did a 178.8... that was amazing back in the day. Such a famous car in the fiesta world, people even bring it up these days now and then

Ahh back in the day! I visited Ft recently, it doesn't actually seemed to have changed much in style over the past 8 years or so, just odd seeing barely any familiar faces. In my head, FT to me in my mindset still means everyone waiting to see what Sunny's planning next and late night MSN conversations then went on until 6am in the week

Back on topic, and I can't wait for these FWD guys to get out there in the dry. :D
