after deciding it would be a great idea to drop it off a 12 inch drop at 80mph the turbo is back

and only cost me ?120. which i was pleased by

for that i got 2 new quaife wheel bearings
and 2 track rod ends from ford

got it tracked up aswell which my mate did for free as he works at a garage with the jig

drives so much nicer no and goes in a straight line other than torque steer

although now i found i can drive it straight and can push it i've noticed that the clutch is slipping not to bad atm but its got noticable worse after a few launches

oh the fun keeps going :D

its a turbo dude. they came out of the factory pissing oil out and breathing heavy  there was a recall though in 1992. someone forgot to throw spanners into the head  so they did that and cured the lack of rattle problem. :D

Ahem - CVH's (aka Bertha) are great engines, despite all your moaning I'd like to see a 1.6 Zetec push out over 180bhp with a T2 turbo! :p

ZTs are great - if you can afford the expenses that are associated with sticking them in the car. Sometimes it's best to stick to tried and tested methods to get power - especially when the power that is available through an engine conversion might not be entirely suitable for road use, and could in fact be positively dangerous (especially in the wrong hands).

Just my thoughts on it - I take my hat off to all the people who successfully build and run ZT engines, but I don't think people should so quickly dismiss the CVH engines that have powered some pretty bloody quick cars over the years, whether it be in 1600 form or bigger ;)

Cheers,

Andy
